Webinar 2: Water Extraction and Export

January 11 Webinar on DRBC Draft Frack Regulations and Proposed Ban – second in January Series (Completed, recording available here)
Get the Facts You Need to Testify at Hearings and Write Strong Comments to Win a Full Fracking Ban

Webinar 2: Water Extraction and Export – Thursday, January 11th
Join the Delaware River Watershed Frack Ban Campaign, represented by Delaware Riverkeeper Network and Berks Gas Truth, for a review of the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) draft fracking regulations that would allow water to be drawn and exported from the Delaware River Watershed to be used in fracking operations. We’ll examine what the draft regulation says and what the issues are with this proposed activity.

This webinar is the second in a series of webinars offered by the Frack Ban Campaign to share information about what is being proposed by DRBC and how you can meaningfully participate in the public process that will inform this historic decisionmaking – both the upcoming hearings and written comment.

The DRBC’s draft fracking regulations would allow water to be withdrawn from the Watershed for fracking outside of the Basin and wastewater from fracking to be discharged in the Basin and are currently open for public comment through March 30. Hearings on the proposals are in January and details about how to sign up are here.

To see the draft regulations and to submit written comments, go here.
