Walk for Climate Action from President Biden

Join those walking for climate action from President Biden! Highlight on Gibbstown LNG Export!

A group of elders and youth who are walking to demand climate action from President Biden will visit the Delaware River to highlight our struggle to stop the proposed Gibbstown Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export terminal. We will join them on Saturday morning, 9:00 am, at Governor Printz Park in Essington, PA, right on the river directly across from the proposed LNG export dock in Gibbstown, NJ. Please come and share a little time with these intrepid trekkers as they make their weeklong journey from Biden’s birthplace in Scranton PA to his hometown in Wilmington DE, calling for an end to fossil fuel development.

The 2021 Walk for Our Grandchildren and Future Generations is calling on Biden to come through on his promises for bold actions to address climate change; his current proposals are still inadequate to address the climate emergency. Along the route, the walkers will be building solidarity with frontline groups to inspire collective actions to keep fossil fuels in the ground – where they belong!

If you want to join up with a carpool to cross the Commodore Barry Bridge to Essington for the meet-up, contact Kate Delany at k8delany@gmail.com by Friday, June 25 10 am. Carpool takes off at 8:30 am, Sat.
