Synagro Comment Deadline to PADEP

Comments due on proposed sludge plant permits.

Synagro Technologies, a “bio solids” company, wants to build an enormous thermal drying facility to process sewage at the Grand Central Landfill on the border of Pen Argyl and Plainfield Township, PA. They have applied for permits to PADEP while the Plainfield Twp. Planning Commission continues its review of the project. The applications for a General Waste Permit for the proposed plant and for a modification of the waste permit for the Grand Central Landfill are open for comments from the public during the agency’s technical review. In addition, comments are being accepted on Synagro's stormwater discharge and air quality permits. Comments are due by November 21, 2018.
