River Action

Success — skilled in a variety of disciplines, DRN has effectively restored and enhanced major sections of the Delaware River Basin.

Advocacy — the Delaware River and all of the communities that depend upon and care about the River are facing a turning point that will dictate, indelibly, the future of our region and how we live and grow as a community. We have the opportunity to do things very, very right, or very, very wrong – the path we choose today will dictate our futures.

Awareness — to inspire citizen action, the Delaware Riverkeeper Network provides citizens with the information, tools and training they need to make a difference for the River. Citizen participation is critical to ensuring protection and proper management of the Delaware River.

Litigation — a river has no right to defend itself in a court of law, so the Delaware River needs attorneys who are willing and able to pursue legal action on behalf of the River and its affected communities. In the Delaware River Watershed, Delaware Riverkeeper Network has stepped up to defend and give voice to our treasured Delaware River.

Water Watch — since 1992, Delaware Riverkeeper Network’s Water Watch mobilizes a committed network of citizens to make a difference for their local streams and communities. Water Watchers are "on-the-ground" trained investigators for the Delaware River and its tributary streams.

Habitat Restoration — since 1992, Delaware Riverkeeper Network’s Water Watch mobilizes a committed network of citizens to make a difference for their local streams and communities. Water Watchers are "on-the-ground" trained investigators for the Delaware River and its tributary streams.

Ongoing Issues — find out about ongoing issues that are related to the Delaware River.

Hotline — specific agencies respond to different pollution events so be sure to contact the appropriate agency. Get a list of hotline numbers throughout the Delaware Watershed that were compiled by DRN for your information.

River Tech — information about how River Tech can help your community. Delaware Riverkeeper Network uses a combination of strong science, community action, and legal expertise to defend the Delaware River, its tributaries, and communities.
