Volunteer Monitoring Research Projects

Workshop participants take readings using
an Electronic pH meter.

Goal: To elevate the profile and credibility of trained volunteer monitors and volunteer-collected data. These focused studies are often comparison studies where DRN compares volunteer analyzed data with data collected by a laboratory. The Manatawny Dam Removal Study involving DRN and the Patrick Center for Environmental Research, Academy of Natural Sciences is an example of work done under this initiative.

Volunteer Requirement: Dependent on project requirements. Studies are often short-term but very extensive. This can be a great opportunity for college students seeking course credit or internships.
