Delaware Riverkeeper Network has commissioned two reports on the impacts of unconventional gas drilling (aka fracking) in Pennsylvania – one on health and one on economics. The new research reports will be presented at forums in May. Local organizations will co-host the forums to discuss the findings and share experiences. Potential actions to address the issues will be discussed. All events are free and open to the public.

Since the advent of unconventional shale gas drilling, some effects of fracking have been immediate, some have emerged over time and some are just becoming apparent. The forums seek to advance our understanding of the breadth of the impacts of fracking in Pennsylvania by examining what science and analysis tell us about the health effects and economic costs of fracking, who is paying now, and what the future price is apt to be.

Please join us for these enlightening reports by experts in the fields of health and economics.
