Comments due on Regulatory Change concerning DELAIR Memorial Drawbridge

Written comment due to U.S. Coast Guard on proposed regulatory change to remove workers from DELAIR Memorial Bridge, a Conrail railroad bridge across the Delaware River, mile 104.6, at Pennsauken Township, NJ and replace personnel with remote operation of the drawbridge, which carries NJ Transit trains and freight trains, including train cars carrying hazardous materials such as domestic crude, natural gas liquids, ethanol, etc. A derailment would be catastrophic, environmentally and in terms of human health and life.
