Join Delanco in its Celebration to Protect Open Space Along the River -- Despite NJDEP Efforts to Use it for Dredge Spoils

Come support Delaware River community residents fighting to keep their open space from becoming a dredge spoil dump site.

Join Delanco residents this Saturday, May 5th at 11 a.m. for the dedication of the West Avenue Nature Trails at the Delanco Dunes. The town of Delanco has restored this 30 acre site along the Delaware River for passive recreation and is now facing attempts by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection to use the area as a dump site for dredge spoils. The area has not been used for dredge materials for decades and now NJ DEP officials are trying to undercut attempts to create an area where residents can enjoy a forested area by the river.
